The shield signifies victory in the varied fields viz. Literature, arts, science
and sports which embody the life at MVM. The outer lining of the shield is designed
in four colours viz. Red, blue, green, yellow representing the four Houses. The
houses are further designated as Maitreyi, Gargee, Aryabhatta and Varahmihir, in
the name of eminent personalities from the yesteryears, thus motivating and inspiring
the students to excel in varied fields as the stalwarts.
